I’ve just been misquoted on Slashdot, as if I said there are no security problems in PHP itself, and that I instead point my finger only at inexperienced developers.
If you read the original article on Heise Security, you’ll see that I have not said anything of the sort. While I hope Slashdot fixes this story, I thought I’d make my stand on this clearer. I believe this is the belief of most others on the security team, but I’m only speaking on behalf of myself and do not represent them.

AT&T Inc. thinks it should be able to buy BellSouth Corp. with no conditions, but it’s willing to compromise if necessary.
In meetings with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the company has discussed not raising rates charged to other carriers to use its facilities, as well as locking in prices for business leased lines, according to a Friday letter from AT&T to the agency.

Telecom will provide both domestic and internation services to corporations
BT Group PLC has been issued letters of intent by the Indian government for the award of licenses for national and international long distance services from the country. The licenses, once awarded, will enable BT’s joint venture company in India, BT Telecom India Pvt. Ltd., to provide services directly to multi-site corporate customers in the Indian market, BT said Thursday.

Asia’s Internet and telecommunication infrastructure showed signs of recovery Thursday, following service disruptions caused by a series of powerful earthquakes off Taiwan’s southern coast earlier this week.
“It’s improving by the hour,” said Eric Loh, a spokesman for Starhub Internet Pte. Ltd., which offers cable and wireless Internet services in Singapore.
By 4.15 p.m. local time, Starhub had restored 80 percent of its Internet capacity by rerouting affected traffic to other undersea cables, the company said.

Samsung Electronics said Thursday it has developed a 60 GB 1.8-inch hard disc drive and will start mass-producing it early next year.
Smaller than a business card, the drive is capable of storing 40 DVD movies and 15,000 MP3 music files. It will be used for mini PCs, small notebook computers, portable multimedia players and MP3 players.
By mass-producing the drives, Samsung hopes to consolidate its lead in the mobile device market. Japan¡¯s Toshiba and Hitachi are leaders in the 1.8-inch hard disc drive market.
